The Bird

Today we noticed a dead bird on the property as we headed out on a walk. We discussed why the bird might have died, the importance of gloves when removing dead animals and how the birds life cycle has ended and needs to return to the earth. I moved the bird close to our large tree and the children threw flowers on him discussing what types they were using, as we said goodbye and wished his body well as it goes back to the earth.
